Overview
Fable 2 is all about you and who you want to be, do you want to be a noble GOD like hero who will do any and everything to make the world a better place even if you need to sacrifice your own happiness to do so or will you be a sick and twisted demon that lays waste to anything in your path for vengeance and money or are you a human in nature just a flawed person trying to do whats best but never really aliens to one side or the other?
What seems to be a simple question is more then a good biases for a game and so it is again in fable 2 so think before you act it might just change the way things unfold for you.
Fable II takes place more than 500 years after the events of Fable 1 and while you don't have to know a thing about the first Fable to play and enjoy the sequel the many references to it will make you wish you had just to get the little inside jokes and such.
Your life will start out as a little boy or girl who lives in the poor section of town with big dreams to be some one of grate importance some day and while you can just blast though the games main story and get a basic hero's tail the real pay off is taking your time and enjoying the side story's and full atmosphere of the game.
The Controls
While the combat system is a simple one i found it to be fun and an improvement from the first Fable by adding chain attacks and slow motion for big strikes that send the enemies and body parts flying for a great effect, the magic was upgraded as well by dropping the old system that said you need this much magic do this attack and replaced it with a charging system that will keep you from blasting wave after wave of power house spells.
Unlike most RPGs out there you don't need to pick a class here you can simple upgrade your body, weapon skills and your magic evenly to make a more balanced fighter which is a huge plus. With a huge selection of weapons to pick from you will have played though the game and be well in to the second play before you notice the combat can be a bit monotone.
For all the great control you get with the single player mode you will find out real fast the co-op game play is far from good and falls short of even being a good attempt, crappy camera angles and the inability to use your hero from your game in co-op was more then enough to keep me from playing co-op all together unless i was trying to get an achievement for someone else.
Graphics
From the cut scenes to the game play the animation in this game is just great and is one of the only games to keep my attention during the opining scene and i found that while i could hit A and skip the cut scenes i would keep my hands back so i couldn't hit the skip scene button by accident. If you really want to see some grate graphics i would say to walk up to any AI character and look real hard at there face and cloths and you will see that for such a small scale character the details are just packed in there.
Sound
Fable II's audio is in no way the stuff of legend but fits the game well with a track to let you know just how you should feel and while you do tend to hear the same background music during a lot of the events you wont even care since they fit the game so well so from the sounds of battle to the idle chatter on the streets you will find the audio helps to draw you in to the world of fable.
Overall
This is by far one of the best RPG games out for me and any one that loves the RPG idea but not the math involved so go forth and discover Albion and don't just blast in and run to the end of the game or you are sure to miss the world around you take your time and explore the world around you, take time to play fetch with your dog or get a wife and have some kids while you could beat the game in a day you will be happy to know there is many things to do that will keep you playing for days so get a job and don't just play the game, instead live the life.
