If they made it for the 360 now and it took a few years a new console would be out by time they finished. Then everyone would want to buy newer games, not older ones that they have to pay monthly for.
well then they needa get to work fast or else. _________________________________________________________ The Burninator...

It would make more sense to put it on PC since the PC never changes. _________________________________________________________

why not make an ultimate gaming console that can never change or you can always update by buying new HD or gfx card. I mean it's freakin microsoft I bet they could come up with something. The 360 is almost like a computer already. _________________________________________________________ The Burninator...
Then you would get into the whole building your own computer type thing. With a standard console everyone can buy everyone can play all the game. If you were able to upgrade it then you would not be able to play the high end games. Average people don't know how to change stuff out in a computer so they wouldn't be able to play the high end games.
I think consoles should just upgrade every 5-6 years like they do now to keep up with technology. Leave the upgrading all the time up to the PC. _________________________________________________________

Exactly Darth,
And that is the thought behind consoles. They were designed for people who want to play games without having to upgrade their PC or download drivers or something similar, they just work. Thats not to say that you don't get problems with consoles but for the most part they are pretty good.

but why not make a user friendly updatable console? Make things easy for the consumer andbe able to upgrade whenever graphics update and all. Why not go fully digital so instead of taking it apart, you download a digital file that upgrades your graphics? That would be awesome if somehow there was a breakthrough like that where you didn't really need a physical media or component that runs stuff like that. Am I getting too complicated? Oh no, I've started rambling again _________________________________________________________ The Burninator...
How would up upgrade the graphics with software? You have to have a better physical graphics chip/card to get better graphics. _________________________________________________________

firstly this is a great discussion, and want to continue the roots its gone, what and im begginng to think the idea of a mass world is not too impossible as on a console as many think. look at where we are at the moment we can download games straight to consoles (retro and original arcade games via market place, psn and virtual console) we have avatars who sometimes take a role in games, in the era which will soon be coming is the era of god, game on demand once broadband gets to a seriously high level, all ur games will be bought online and downloaded to the console, because how much waste do companys get from waste production of unsold games? so theoretical we hit god and we download all our games, and we have an avatar, which looks incredible realistic why not use it to walk into each game we play? you could link so many games so u want to go for a skate? u walk into the tony hawks park, and pick up a skateboard, if any of ur friends are playing u can play them or if u get an invite u can travel to another game to see your friends there, i think im onto a winner here, cos it would be so sweet and its logical and it would work!! so my opinion a a massive multiplayer online experience is inevitable!
