Hello! i was looking through the tutorials and saw about the hd upgrade, is there a limit to size? think its awesome then paying for a legit one, £100 is bit extoriante for 120gb if u ask me, also what is the homebrew situation like at the moment, completely dont know if people have give n up due to the online play, i would flash my dvd drive for back ups, but am not really interested cos if i cant store them on the hard drive dont see the point lol! i liked xbox 1 backing up so i could change game without leaving ma sofa, so it would be a bit pointless in doing a flash i was hoping for some hi grade emulation, like a dreamcast emulator, a decent ps1 emulator, or even ps2 or saturn (if its even possible with the 360 spec!) or some amazing homebrew
Right now you can only put in an HDD that is the same size as the HDD key you have off a stock drive. You can put a 120 gig HDD in the console, but if you only have a HDD key off a 20 gig drive then only 20 gigs will show up on the console.
As for backups the new dashboard coming out sometime in the near future has a feature to copy the files to your HDD to reduce loading times. You still have to have the game disc in the DVD drive when you start it off HDD but the loading times will be much faster. _________________________________________________________

actually have you ever tried playing oblivion? those load times are tremendous sometimes. Just going from one house to one store back to the outside of the town takes a good 10 minutes!
i'm definatly going to be putting select games on it, but not all games. Maybe fable 2, and oblivion. I read somewhere its like 30% faster on some games. Thats like 3 minutes of not having to wait on a 10 minute load. i think that math is right. anyway, if its doesn't help at all i definatly will be complaining on here. this seems like the only place things actually get read. _________________________________________________________ http://www.myspace.com/discardedtelepathy <--my music, please let me know what you think...

right, thats really interesting about the hd upgrade, so in theory if i borrowed my mates 60gb, and got the code from that could i format a 60gb to work in mine?? also have seen vague stuff about the storing on hard drive, i think for some games its an essential as i cant stand loading times, its been a bug bear for since i got my first cd based console!! it makes me laugh and think how much in common the 360 and pcs have!
You could do that but if he plays online you both can't be online at once or you may get banned. Each HDD code has its own encrypted code and if you both go online at the same time you might get banned. _________________________________________________________
