Microsoft and Tecmo have released a demo of Dead or Alive 4 on Xbox Live Marketplace. Released on December 29, 2005, Dead or Alive 4 broke new ground on Xbox Live by offering simultaneous 4-player tag battle for the first time in the series, up to 16-players online at one time, and a stylized and accessible online lobby system that allows players to choose an avatar and a “theme” for their house which will serve as their online lobby that other players can visit to get matched up for a fight.
It's been months since Bethesda Softworks shipped The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and while the company's pimped their downloadable content to no end, a patch to fix some of the rough spots that weren't ironed out before release has been long coming.
At least the wait's not far off now. The company confirmed to 1UP that an official patch is in the final stages of development and certification, and should be available for both PC and Xbox 360 users sometime next week.
But what if you don't have access to Xbox Live? The company's looking into a number of options, including bundling the patch onto a disc with the Official Xbox Magazine. "We'll make it available via whatever means are out there for any game to get updates to people playing the game," said public relations head Pete Hines.

Xbox Live Marketplace surpasses 24 million downloads as Xbox Live Brings E3 Home to gamers around the world
Xbox Live becomes the world’s largest platform for high-definition on-demand content
Xbox Live, the first and only unified online games and entertainment network, is now the world’s largest platform for high-definition on-demand content, surpassing 24 million downloads following the launch of Xbox 360 on November 22, 2005.
For the full week of E3 – the biggest video game industry event of the year - Xbox 360 gamers around the world were invited to jump in to Xbox Live through “E3: Bringing It Home,” and receive a full week’s Gold membership for free, courtesy of Verizon in the US and adidas in Europe.
Over 1.5 million gamers connected to Xbox Live last week, downloading exclusive content direct from the show floor, including the latest high-definition game demos and trailers, such as Halo 3, Gears of War and Fable 2; game add-on content, such as Map Packs from Call of Duty ®2 and additional quests from The Elder Scrolls® IV: Oblivion™, movie trailers and music videos, such as “Nacho Libre” and “Over My Head” (The Fray) along with celebrity Game with Fame multiplayer sessions with Dave Navarro (Panic Channel), Method Man and Jenny McCarthy.
Xbox Live members downloaded over 5 million pieces of gaming and entertainment content during the 7 days of E3: Bringing It Home, consuming more than 600 Terabytes of data, shattering all previous records for the network. At the same time, traffic on Xbox.com doubled during the week, driving more than 6 million unique users to the site as well.
“Only Xbox Live could bring E3 home in high definition for consumers around the world,” said Peter Moore, corporate vice president of the Interactive Entertainment Business in the Entertainment and Devices Division at Microsoft. “The sheer volume of downloads during E3 week was simply staggering. To put it in perspective, all the printed material in the U.S. Library of Congress is estimated to be about 20 terabytes, and Xbox Live delivered 30 times that amount in just 7 days. While others talk about online entertainment in the console space, we are delivering it in glorious high-definition to the millions of members we have across 24 countries. “
The eagerly anticipated Halo 3 high-definition trailer proved to be the most popular download of the week:

New downloads for eight games and movies now available on Xbox 360; new demo, themes, gamer pics, in-game items offered.
When the Xbox 360 launched, one of the machine's more intriguing features was the Xbox Live Marketplace, a virtual store that would let users download trailers, demos, bonus content, and Xbox Live Arcade games. Unfortunately, new additions to the Marketplace were few and far between to start. But just as the stream of Xbox 360s to retail has picked up, a flood of new offerings have also hit the Marketplace.
The early part of this week saw an Amped 3 demo, as well as free themes and picture packs for Nacho Libre and Mission: Impossible III hit the Marketplace, but no less than eight games and movies have seen new content hit the service since yesterday.
Yesterday's offerings included a new picture pack for Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter; trailers for X-Men: The Last Stand, The Omen, and Ice Age 2: The Meltdown; a dozen new Tomb Raider picture packs and themes (six of each); and a demo of Xbox 360 launch-game Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06.
